Reiki

Reiki (pronounced Ray-key) is a Japanese word meaning Universal Life Energy, energy, which is all around us.

It is an ancient, yet powerful, method of healing for the body and mind. Alpha brainwaves coincide with the vibration frequency of the Earth's ectromagnetic field.

Studies have shown that it is possible for the healer to tap into this energy source and channel it back to the client. The brainwaves of both healer and client become synchronised in the alpha state, and resonate at the same vibration level.

Low frequency, bio magnetic pulses emit from the healer's hands, affecting the body's nervous system and cellular structure. Working on physical, spiritual and emotional levels, Reiki has been found to heighten tissue repair, release toxins, strengthen the immune system, reduce inflammation, and re-establish energetic harmony in the body.

The client remains fully clothed and the practitioner focuses on the main energy systems of the body, called Chakras. These correspond to the nerve centres affecting the body and mind. This may, or may not, involve touch. Reiki is especially good for releasing stress, eliminating destructive emotions, and increasing focus and clarity.

Our therapists providing these therapies follow an accepted Code of Practice and work in collaboration with orthodox medicine. They have undergone documented training with a registered healing organisation.

Healing and Reiki offered by the Trust is not associated with any particular religion, doctrine or organisation.
