Palliative Care & Home Visiting Service

A client's programme is designed to take into account the individual's needs at every stage, and to give them the best possible home holistic care throughout.   We want our clients to feel comfortable, relaxed and listened to, viewed first as people and second as having cancer.

Whilst each client is assessed individually, the programme is intended to give the benefit of stress control, countering tension, insomnia, anxiety, pain and sickness.

The Trust offers six therapies over a period of six months plus two visits from a Home Visiting Officer.

Programmed may be changed according to the progression of the illness, subsequent medical treatment, and the advice of the attending GP or consultant.

An individual's programme take into account the complex and interacting factors that may impinge on, or enhance, their best quality of life.   Regular case reviews are held to ascertain continuing and appropriate treatments.

Professional Accountability

Our therapists are qualified and insured to nationally recognised standards. They are required to continue their own personal development and to undertake in-house and other specialist training in order to maintain high standards.

At all times our therapists are expected to safeguard and promote the well being of their clients.   The Trust has a policy of group confidentiality and must always uphold the good standing of their profession and that of the Trust.

All our therapists have been CRB checked and hold an ID card.
