Juicing

Why not try a juice full of fruit, vegetables and vitamins.  Simply prepare and put the main ingredients into a blender until smooth, adjust the flavour with the suggested seasonings, then add cracked ice cubes and mix through the blender until smooth or simply leave in some icy crunchiness...

APPLE, AVOCADO AND LIME Core and chop 2 green apples and the flesh of 1 ripe avocado. Blend with 250ml chilled apple juice. Adjust the flavour with squeezes of lime.  Add 4 crushed ice cubes. Decorate with a lime wedge, if liked.

DARK BERRY BOOST Stone and chop 1 nectarine or peach. Blend with 100g chilled plain yoghurt, 150ml chilled cranberry juice from a carton, 250g frozen forest fruits and a sprig of mint.  Add 4 crushed ice cubes.

CARROT WITH NECTARINE AND MANGO Prepare 2 chopped baby carrots , 1 chopped nectarine or peach and 175g chopped mango. Blend with 250ml chilled carrot juice. Adjust the flavour with honey and a squeeze of lemon. Add 4 crushed ice cubes.

BEETROOT, ORANGE, GINGER AND SPINACH Chop 2 small peeled and cooked beetroot, the flesh of 1 orange and 1cm piece fresh ginger. Blend with 150ml fresh orange juice. Adjust the flavour with salt, pepper and lemon juice, and the consistency with mineral water.  Add 4 crushed ice cubes and top with a couple of basil leaves if you like.
